Another INKSPIRATION FOR CAT LOVERS coloring book page I colored. One of the few instances where scanning actually improved the image (the original is darker and muddier in the flowers). Art by Robyn Hennoch, whose coloring book can be bought here.
Didn’t expect to stipple the cat, but I think the effect is neat…Just wish I’d thought of it earlier while doing the gradient! D’oh!
Didn’t seem right to do a portrait of her without doing one of him!

So for AAAGES I’ve been trying to render these dragons from my supernovel, which have bodies like pelicans but heads like gazelles/antelopes/elands/whatever.
Now I have 2 of these dragons as main characters in my Greatest Nosferatu Love Story of All Time novel. So I really gotta buckle down, you know?
Here are many attempts.
Master Study of “Madame Chardin” by Jean Siméon Chardin
1-hour digital piece in Krita, using a single brush. Following ConceptArt.org’s rules, which include no tracing, no color picking from the original, and you must work at least one hour.
Coloring took about an hour, drawing…eh, who knows! At least one episode of THE BATMAN and part of one WEST COAST CUSTOMS. Whose theme song gets stuck in my head.
Anyway! When you go to MoxieKitten.com, this is her new favicon! Whee!
This took me all day to “ink” (I used an 8B pencil) and color (in Krita) and put together (PhoShoCS2). You’ll have to tell me if it was worth it! To my delight, the finished expressions turned out just as good as my ruff Sharpie sketch!
